Please help save two villages

The villages of Diangoudia and Orokamba have had no harvest for three years due to an influx of armed groups to their area. In the last 12 months all their livestock have been stolen. They are both normally thriving and dynamic villages with good wells but are no longer in a position to stay and also have no-where they can go. People are asking us for help to buy some food so that they will have the strength to work. They could then collect hay, harvest tree products and animal fodder and sell this in markets.

It is tragic that huge numbers of people in Mali have been displaced and are now barely surviving in refugee camps. There has been a peace agreement in our area and we would really like to help these villages - both of them remarkable for their human kindness and social capital - to continue.

We have exceeded our Big Give target!

Thanks to the generosity of our donors we have exceeded our target and raised over £45,000. This money will be a huge investment for young people in Mali – enabling them to set up their own orchards.
